Job Title: Hospital Business Manager

Role: Key Accounts Management/Hospital Business

Location: Bangalore, Delhi, or Lucknow

Purpose of the Job

Create and implement a key account management capability to prioritize, segment, and service a small number of strategic corporate hospitals with Cipla’s connections and capabilities across therapies.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Cipla India will set up and execute a key account strategy and plan (partnership for the long-term), the partners will be the major corporate hospitals, therefore, by segmenting, classifying, and concentrating on just the major corporate hospitals.
  • Cipla will be one face to the hospital: Developing a strong working relationship with major decision makers and managing important players at important accounts, who can influence the formulary (pharmacy, therapeutic committee, purchase, KOLs, etc).
  • Use the diversity of Cipla in terms of therapies and functions to develop a customized portfolio and value-added services from Cipla to the Key account (marketing, training, practice partnerships, etc).
  • Manage the efficient delivery of services to key accounts, ensuring orders are fulfilled (including ASUs and depot management), and assist the commercial team in meeting compliance requirements.
  • Responsible for the growth of secondary business from Key Accounts.
  • Ensure the brand matrix is optimal through in-market updates and effective business planning.
  • Use the top-performing goods across all targeted therapies to manage the profitability of the business. 
  • Achieve and maintain the P&L of key corporate hospitals, including revenue growth, absolute GC, wallet share, and have a thorough understanding of both central and therapy-specific expenditures.

Relevant experience:

  • Experience managing key accounts or hospital accounts, particularly hospital accounts, or as a Key Account Business Manager. 
  • Managing stakeholders: Reviewing Cipla’s strengths and offerings across therapy, mapping key stakeholders, building with stakeholders at the right level, and engaging stakeholders.
  • Financial management and negotiations: Identify where you can maximize the Cipla portfolio across therapies, negotiate price agreements, and a memorandum of understanding.
  • Skills for influencing and communicating: utilizing Cipla relationships in leadership and therapy to take the initiative of maintaining consistent personal relationships with key touchpoints and fulfilling their needs.
