Selection Process of SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024

  • Application Form Release: The online application for SSC Stenographer is now available. Candidates who are women, members of Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), persons with disabilities (PwD), and ex-servicemen (ESM) are free from paying the application cost, which is INR 100.
  • Admission Card Release: The SSC Stenographer admission card is made available online via the commission's corresponding regional websites. Applicants must check in with their registration ID, roll number, name, and password to view their admission cards.
  • Computer-Based Test: This is the SSC Stenographer Grade C & D preliminary exam. Every applicant who successfully registers for the exam is allowed to take the computer-based examination. The test is divided into three sections: English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, and General Intelligence & Reasoning. The exam has 200 total points.
  • Declaration Of Results: Results are announced online for the various test stages for SSC Stenographers. The outcome is provided in PDF format. The roll numbers of eligible applicants are shown. SSC Stenographer cut-off marks for various jobs and categories are also announced along with the results.
  • Stenography Skill Test: This phase is for the applicants who made the shortlist for the computer-based exam. One dictation in either Hindi or English is provided to each candidate for ten minutes. For the Grade C stenographer position, candidates must type 80 words per minute, and for the Grade D post, 100 words per minute.

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2024

SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible:

Applicants have to be one of two

  • An Indian national or
  • A Nepali topic or
  • A Bhutanese national or
  • Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, to relocate there or
  • A person of Indian descent who moved to India to reside there permanently from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam in East Africa.

As long as an applicant falls into one of the following categories: II, III, IV, or V, and the Indian government has granted them an eligibility certificate.
