On July 16, 2024, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will make the SSC Stenographer 2024 announcement. The application must be completed by August 14, 2024. An open competitive computer-based examination will be conducted by the SSC to fill the positions of Grade 'C' and Grade 'D' stenographers for various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations within the Government of India. Online registration for SSC Steno 2024 will commence on July 16, 2024, and it will conclude in August.

The format of the SSC Stenographer exam consists of a CBT and a skill test. Three areas make up the test: English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, and General Intelligence & Reasoning. There are 200 questions on the exam sheet. The exam has 200 total points. The test will take two hours to complete.

The following are the allowances provided to SSC Stenographers:
Candidates need to have passed Class 12 or an equivalent test from an accredited university or board. Candidates need to fulfil the requirements for eligibility. Those who don't fit the requirements are disqualified from the hiring process.
SSC must select the SSC Stenographer exam locations when completing the application. For the SSC Stenographer exam, candidates have a choice of three test cities. The test cities are assigned based on the preferences that the applicants provide. The test authority retains the ability to assign applicants to exam locations.
